The Harris County Domestic Relations Office is committed to serving families in Houston, Texas and region, by focusing on the needs of children involved in family litigation.  This office provides services for Houston and Harris County residents as well as the Harris County Family District Courts. 

The Office is divided into four Divisions, each having specific duties. The Legal Enforcement Division provides legal representation for parents seeking to enforce or establish child support and/or visitation. The Family Court Services Division conducts social study investigations for adoptions and contested custody/access cases. The Family Dispute Resolution Division provides family mediation services for the Family District Courts. The Community Supervision Unit provides probation services in the Family District and IV-D Courts for parents who have been found in contempt: (1) for nonpayment of court-ordered child support or (2) for denial of court-ordered possession/access.
